Approximatio of geopotential fields by fields of equivalent sources in solving practical problems

Problems of practical application of the gravity and magnetic fields approximation by equivalent sources situated below the observation surface are considered. A software realizing the decomposition of the problem determining the source parameters and an adaptive algorithm of the solution of a system of linear algebraic equations have been set up. Practical examples using East Siberia data are given. It is concluded that the approximation method increases the reliability of subsequent interpretation constructions to be applied in solving a wide circle of geological problems especially in the conditions of mountainous relief of the locality.
