On the measurement of nonelastinc absorbing of the seismic waves

The complex reflection coefficient of a system composed of n plane - parallel absorbing layers is analysed in the frequency domain, taking into account all the multiples and without any multiples. Hence the equation derived, connecting the frequency of a seismic wave, time of its propagation and the decrement of absorption of the medium. The untraditional method to determine the unelastic (dissipative) parameters of the medium has been constructed on this base for the reflected and direct transmitted waves. The accuracy and advantages of this new method are analysed.
