The conditions of the application of gravimetric observations for studying most intensive and hazardous technogenic processes in the area of open mineral mining are considered. On model and real examples the possibility of the use of gravity exploration for detecting zones of discompaction of rocks investigation of their movement - outcrop, prognosing of gaps and craters at the Earth's surface and determining the change of the underground water level in the process of functioning of quarries is shown.
