Features of spatial distribution of P- and S-wave velocity and elastic characteristics of the crust of the Eastern Crimean peninsula

There were brought out some peculiarities of the deep structure and anomalies of elastic properties of the crust beneath eastern part of Crimean peninsula. The territory under examination was divided into three blocks with notably different velocity and elastic parameters. The medium between Alushta and Sudak shows high values of all elastic parameters. It is supposed to store up elastic energy which is discharged over the most contrast inhomogeneities in the area of transition to the lowvelocity Sudak-Feodosiya region. <<back |
