Seismic shocks level of the Kyev territory

The intensity of seismic shocks of the Kyiv territory is estimated using integrated historical, macroseismic and instrumental data. The maximal value of the Earth's surface shocks in Kyiv of 5 degree (by International seismic scale MSK-64) is felt at destructive carpathian earthquakes of the Vrancea focal zone. The seismic shock intensity increase by 0,5-1,0 degree in some districts of the city is probable. The question of the level of possible local seismicity is considered. Within the city lineament zones detected with deciphering remote - survey data are shown. Necessity of special studies at seismic zoning of the territory of the city is emphasized. <<back |
