Paleomagnetism of the reference section of pliocenic-pleisto cenic deposits of the NW Donbass

Results of paleomagnetic studies made on two reference sections of pliocenic-pleistocenic deposits of NW Donbas are given. It is shown that the formation of the mass of the sediments studied falls in the time span corresponding with the Brunhes, Matuyama, Gauss and Gilbert epochs of geomagnetic polarity. Stratigraphic levels are marked that may be used as reference ones in tying pliocenic-pleistocenic deposits of the given region to the magnetochronological scale. <<back |
