Prognosis of oil and gas promising structures in the northern part of the Black Sea shelf based on a combined interpretation of geologic-geophysical information using computer technologies. A new version of an automated system of a combined processing of geologic-geophysical information based on an improved algorithm of the method of the pattern recognition realizing the author's conception of the principle of geological analogy is considered. The use of the version proposed increases the reability of the prediction of geologic bodies and the prognostic geological mapping of deep stratigraphic horizons, elevates the level of extractability of additional information from the initial data available. The abilities of the system are illustrated by the results of experimental prediction of oil and gas promising structures of the northern part of the Black Sea shelf.
