Geologic reduction in gravity modeling of deep structures

© Krasovsky A.S.

Studies of possibilities of geologic reduction in gravity modeling with theoretical models show that not reduction of some elements of the study medium but calculation for all objects of the medium to depth below which the medium is assumed to be homogeneous is necessary. Otherwise, the numerical interpretation yields erroneous objects and the parameters of probable objects are notably distorted. The operation of geologic reduction is only aimful for elucidating the gravity field response to the study medium and does, not contain a meaningful geological in formation.
