Geoelectrical parameters of the Dnieper-Donets Depression sediments by 2-D modeling of MTS data

Basing on 2D interpretation of MT and MVP data obtained at 120 and 30 points (correspondingly) referenced to 8 profiles cutting Dniper - Donets depression, we could set up a sufficiently reliable geoelectrical model of sedimentary rocks of the region. The lowest specific electrical resistance (0,4 to 5 Ohm × m) is marked for sedimentary rocks ranging from Lowest Mezozoic (J-T?) to the uppermost Bashkir stage of Middle Carboniferous in the rift and for the most territory of the southern edge. The older rocks in the rift and the deposits on the north edge show mainly 20 - 50 Ohm × m resistance. <<back |
