Deep structure of the Ukrainian Shield

Results of studying deep structure of the Ukrainian Shield by use of the data of the interpretation of new and the reinterpretation of previous seismic DSS data 3-D magnetic crustal models and their common analysis with density and velocity models are given. The lower crust composition has been prognosed, the relations of the near-surface structures and the magmatism manifestation on the Precambrian basement with the deep crustal structure of large tectonic units of the Shield has been described. It is emphasized that within the inter-mega-block suture zones the relation of the near-surface and the deep structures is generally violated. <<back |
