Geodynamic conditions of the Dnieper-Donets Depression

Pre-riftogenous and post-riftogenous sections of the Dnieper Donets Depression's lithosphere are compared. It is shown that the submergence of the blocks of the depression's pre-Riphean base in the course of the depression formation was caused by the consolidation of the earth's mantle and the lithosphere upper mantle at petrophysical transformations including basification of "granitic" beds and eclogitation of "basaltic" beds under conditions of subhorizontal compression. <<back |
