Subtraction of surface wave-noises from seismograms by singular expansion

A method for eliminating surface waves (ground-roll) from common - shot gathers is suggested. It takes advantage of a special transform along with the singular value decomposition of the seismic record. The transform is intended to align the surface waves across the traces. The method is the result of a further development of the approach proposed by X. Liu. It is demonstrated on synthetic data. <<back |
