Influence of the anisotropy of elastic properties of rocks on the elastic wave attenuation

Attenuation mechanizm for P- and S-waves in rocks is developed. The influence of anisotropy of elastic rock properties on attenuation of elastic waves is studied. Theoretical relations connecting attenuation coefficients of elastic waves and structural peculiarities of r ocks are obtained. <<back |
