Present ecological problems of Donets Basin

The present ecological problems of Donetsk carboniferous basin are described. The omnipresent excess of marginal concentrations of Hg, As, Pb, Zn and other toxiferous chemical elements in atmosphere, soils of urban agglomerations and Donbass underground waters, and also availability of regions, staggered by dangerous geological processes is established. The natural (geologic) and simulated (technogenic) components of originating of a critical ecological situation in the region, which one has negative effect on health and lifetimes of the population are reviewed. <<back |
