On the drawdown of Kyiv Reservoir

The history of the Dnipro River water economy is briefly reviewed. Ecological assessment of the river ecosystem including the radiologic situation in the surface and underground hydrosphere is made. An analysis of positive and negative consequences of the formation of the Kyiv reservoir and its possible drawdown is made. Ways of the improvement of the Dnipro cascade reservoirs environmental state are proposed. <<back |
