Fault zones of the Ukrainian Shield. The impact of the processes of fault formation on the Earth's crust structure

Kinematic classifications have been elaborated according to results of field tectonophysics studies. Temporal intervals of stabilization and activization of the main large fault zones of the Ukrainian Shield have been revealed. It was shown that since Neoarchean (in the east) and Paleoproterozoic (in the west) the main magmatic, metasomatic and hydrothermal processes had been concentrated within the fault zones. The structure of the Shield was being formed under the dominant role of horizontal motions. During the early Paleoproterozoic the western and eastern parts of the Shield were developed according to different kinematic laws. The Ukrainian Shield has emerged as a single whole since the end of Paleoproterozoic.
