A comparison of magnetic substorm records and the formed ionospheric current vectors yielded conjugate points in the northern hemisphere for the station Academic Vernadskiy which are situated between the observatories Ottawa and Fredericsburg or even somewhere further south. The longitudinal position of the conjugate points corresponds to the meridian of the station Academic Vernadskiy or is several degrees further west. Their latitudinal position shifts southwards with increasing magnetic activity.
