Succession of epochs in Earth sciences. I

Two epochs took place in development of Earth sciences and formation of the third epoch has begun since the end of the XXth century. The first one is geography epoch, the second one is geology epoch, and the third one is geophysics and geoinformatics epoch. The object and method of geoinformatics as a separate new science as such to be formed during the third epoch is being discussed. <<back |
