Seismomineralogical method of quantitative valuation of chemical composition of rocks

A new method of quantitative estimation of percentage of main rockforming oxides in the Earth's crust based on the data of seismomineralogical model obtained from inversion of seismic velocities is considered. The method assures a reliable estimation of SiQ2 percentage and takes into account pressure, temperature and porosity effects on velocity of P- and S-waves.
