On the anomalous field tensor in horizontal components of geomagnetic variations

© I.I. Rokityanskiy, N.I. Litvinchuk

Eight regional conductivity anomalies, above which horizontal component of geomagnetic variations is more than two times larger in comparison with the surrounding stations, are considered. Such enhancement is possible only for conductive nature of the anomalous field formation. Thus, conductive nature is dominant not only for local magnetic distortions but also for regional anomalies. Tensors of impedance, tipper and the anomalous horizontal magnetic variation field [b] carry mutually supplementing information, what determines perspective of their complex use.
