Some aspects of magnetostratigraphy of sedimentary deposits of Ukraine: state-of-the-art and prospects of studies

Methodological aspects, state-of-art and prospects of development of magnetostratigraphy are under consideration. Problem matters of magnetostratigraphy of sedimentary strata of Late Cenozoic of Ukraine are elucidated. The problem of location of Matuyama - Brunes boundary and its key role in correlation of Quarternary deposits of Ukraine has been considered. Modern concepts on longevity of Pontian regional stage and its position in geological temporal scale has been analyzed. <<back |
