Oxidation-reduction conditions in the lithosphere and mantle magmogenesis
© Genshaft Yu.S.
Oxidation-reduction conditions in the rocks of lithosphere and in magmatic rocks are considered, which are determined by the ratio
of bivalent and trivalent iron in minerals of deep-seated rocks and by the balance hemoilmenite- titanomagnetite. In
magmas fO2 is close to buffer conditions QFM (quartz-fayalite-magnetite) and NNO (nickel-nickel oxide), while in
the rocks of lithosphere the range of fO2 alterations is much more, and these conditions depend on the rock types,
their depletion, metasomatic alterations etc. <<back |
