Intensification of deformations of the memorials of National Kiev-Pechersk historical-cultural reserve, caused first of all by technogenic disturbances of natural regime of humidity of their foundation soils has been observed during the last decades. Complicated engineering-geological conditions of the reserve territory are redoubled by practically constant leakage from water communications. Errors proved to be ruinous as well, which were committed during diverse periods while conservation activities were performed as to separate memorials, which lead to gross violation of hydrogeological regime within the territory of a reserve. High performance of applying here geophysical methods of hydrogeological and engineering-geological studies was illustrated on an example of Near Caves. As a primary task of the memorials conservation for both Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the whole Ukraine foundation of State Interdepartmental Laboratory for monitoring of immovable memorials should be considered, making it responsible for elaboration of scientifically based prerequisites of preservation.
