Prediction of intensity distribution in Ukraine of shakings caused by strong Vrancea earthquakes

According to the data of macroscopic observations of the aftermaths of Vrancea earthquakes actions of 1940, 1977, 1986 and 1990 the value of intensity increment of shakings is being estimated comparing to background values. Applying piecewise-linear model of the field for seismic shakings of Ukraine obtained by the authors earlier a map of synthetic isoseists, corrected by intensity increment for hypothetical extremely strong possible Vrancea earthquake has been compiled. <<back |
