Three-dimensional density model of the Earth's crust and upper mantle of the Ingul megablock of the Ukrainian Shield

Three-dimensional density model of the Earth's crust and upper mantle of the Ingul mega-block of the Ukrainian Shield has been constructed according to the data of re-interpretation of seismic materials for geo-traverses VI, VIII and DSS profiles XXXIV, XXV. New data have been obtained on density distribution in the structures of mega-block, consolidation of rocks has been found from the depths 18 km in the Novoukrainsk massif and Korsun-Novomirgorod pluton as well as in the northeast of the Ingulets synclinore. Thicknesses of conditionally discriminated layers of the earth's crust as "granite", "diorite" and "basalt" and their ratios with total thickness of consolidated crust have been calculated. It makes possible to prognosticate the matter composition of the Earth's crust. <<back |
