The characteristics of seismic events in the northern areas of Mongolia have been analyzed for sporadic, rare-insular and insular permafrost by the example of three large earthquakes. The velocities of seismic waves and parameters of seismic effects have been predicted for two possible versions of the ground conditions' change on permafrost degradation from construction of the Burenkhansky mining and concentration complex. Basic regularities of the variations of amplitude and frequency content of ground motions with defrosting have been found.
