Relationship of intense magnetic storm of the 23-24 March 1969 with the processes in neighboring space and on the Sun

Dynamics of the development of phenomena on the Sun, interplanetary space and magnetosphere has been considered during great magnetic storm of 23-24 March 1969. Succession of interconnected events in auroral and subauroral zones as well as at middle and low latitudes have been studied. Development of the events on the Earth are associated with the structure of the interplanetary magnetic field near the Earth. Geomagnetic variations from different sources at the middle latitudes are distinguished. <<back |
