On interpretation of geoid anomalies

© Yu.I. Dubovenko

The character of interrelations of the model EGM-96 gravity with the geoid undulations are illustrated by means of example of the geoid sagging computed after the earthquake on Sumatra and of example of revision of the parameters of density anomalies point sources in northern Atlantic by the known geoid anomalies. To assign the influence of the time variations of gravity due to planet orbiting dynamics the relativistic expressions of the mass and bodies total energy increase in gravity field are formulated. In areas of high-gradient gravity the quantity of full energy fluctuations is comparable with observation errors of Δg. Practical computing by the formulas is obstructed because of difference of the existing reference systems.
