On the processes of formation of focal zones of strong earthquakes

Spatio-temporal properties of background seismicity in the period of preparation and forming of source areas of strong
earthquakes of Earth (Mw>7), Mediterranean (Mw>5,6) and Crimean-black sea region are
explored (Mw>3,9). General property of background seismicity is established: sequential migration of epicenters of more
weak shocks to the area of future strong earthquake (process of gathering). This property shows up in the wide range of earthquake magnitudes,
does not rely on the deflected mode of environment of seismoactive regions and can be attributed to fundamental. <<back |
