Global magnetic variational experiment: physical concepts and mathematical models

The sources of field and the structure of electromagnetic responce in the Earth's atmosphere and on its surface are analyzed, the reasons and physical consequences of the possibility of generation of toroidal magnetic fields in this slightly conducting area are discussed. General structure and special role of electromagnetic potentials are considered and possibilities of their decomposition into spherical layer or area. Nonlocal vector identity of impedance type has been proposed for harmonic field on the surface of heterogeneous spherical Earth and generated on its base system of scalar equations which determine this surface. Possible directions of further development of deep electromagnetic studies of heterogeneous Earth and the ways of their correct practical implementation are formulated.
