Method for solving 2D inverse problem of induction logging

The factorization method for an inverse 2D low-frequency induction logging problem based on the possibility of efficient taking into account "the shoulder effect" with the help of solving of the first kind Fredholm equation of convolution type with the following solution of inverse 1D problem for every bed was proposed. Numerical examples have been presented. It has been shown that mentioned method of Fredholm equation solving increases resolution along the well axis up to the value comparable with the step of logging. It has been shown that using the "skin-effect" correction leads to a distortion of the geo-electrical parameters of bed. <<back |
