Simulation of magneto-variation and magneto-telluric fields of elongated structures with 3D distribution of electro-conductivity

© T.K. Burakhovich

According to the data of three-dimensional modeling of high electro-conductivity anomalies, special for strongly elongated structures with homogeneous and changing by the strike specific electric conductivity anomalous values of magnetic components and the curves of magneto-telluric sounding have been analyzed. The fields along cross-sections obtained within the limits of 2D and 3D representations have been studied. Numerical experiment has shown that for appropriate estimation of geo-electric parameters along the MVP and MVS profiles in case of studies of electro-conductivity profiles in the Earth's crust it is necessary to be based on three-dimensional representations of modeling and inversion.
