Georadar sensing application has been considered for determination of humidity and soil layer structure in the vicinity of the Cyril's church being a part of the structure of the state preserve "Sofiya-Kievskaya". The probing was carried out with the use of Stepped Frequency Continuous Wave (SFCW) ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), operating in the frequency band of 130-270MHz. The measurement outcomes of the determination of soil layer moistening degree obtained on the basis of the signal phase structure are resulted. The loess loamy sand moistening degree analysis obtained on the basis of georadar information, allowed to make a conclusion about the possible reason of the temple building deformations. Information obtained could be applied for elaboration of protecting engineering actions.
