Relationship of entropy with evolution of cloudiness and precipitations

The paper is dedicated to the problem of finding positive sources of entropy, related to meso-scale processes into atmosphere with the help of numerical simulation of cloudy atmosphere. Three-dimensional prognostic model, worked out in UkrNIGMI is used as initial one for simulation of frontal cloudiness. Numerical experiments have been conducted, aimed at finding of entropy temporal and spatial distribution as well as its production. Joint simulation of cloudiness and entropy demonstrated that these physical objects are in good agreement during the process of their development and the centers of decreased entropy can be probable good predictors for determining of centers of strong precipitations.
