Application of gravity survey problems for studies of geological structure and oil and gas resources in the Middle Kura depression areas of Azerbaijan is considered. Model calculations for justification of basis reflection of local uplift in gravitational field have been conducted. It has been shown that uplifts by Mesozoic in the Middle Kura depression are expressed by local gravitational maxima, owing to high effective density of these deposits. But characteristic local minima, distinguished in local maxima background are connected with reservoir features improvement of sediments and presence of hydrocarbon in the section. Some geological results achieved on the base of gravimetric data, on the structure of Mesozoic deposits and on oil-gas resources estimation in the southeastern part of the Middle Kura depression have been presented.
