Characteristics of seismic hazard assessment of marine areas have been considered. Modeling of seismic hazard of northwestern part of the Black Sea shelf is made on the basis of the developed models of seismicity, seismic sources, attenuation of the intensity and zones of earthquakes occurrence. Maps of general seismic zoning of the shelf are presented for return periods of seismic effects once in each 500 and 1000 years. According to these maps the entire territory of the shelf refers to the seismically dangerous zone with estimated intensities of 6 and 7 points.
